By the decree of Allah [swt] the Islamic Society of Northern Baltimore initially began its efforts in early 2010, a group of dedicated families structured the establishment under the banner of the “Hunt Valley Community Center.” As the Muslim population grew, and with the generous support given to us by the Maryland community, in October of 2019; we were able to fully purchase a beautiful residential home, nestled in the heart of Timonium, Maryland. In January of 2020, we sought legal advice and implemented a zoning change for a true “Place of Worship” alongside editing our entity as “The Islamic Society of Northern Baltimore” [ISNB]. By Allah’s majesty we also became an accredited Non-Profit Organization with a full 501(c)3 designation with the US Department of Treasury. Our permanent address is 495 West Padonia Road, Lutherville-Timonium, Maryland 21093.

ISNB strives to provide guidance, support and humanitarian assistance to all the surrounding communities as well as to reach out and present Islam through educational and cultural activities as delineated in the Holy Qur’an, and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). We pride in the Muslim Community and want to become a safe haven for humanity to learn the true teachings of our peaceful tradition. We welcome all faiths to come learn about this wondeful way of life called; Islam.

• To develop and provide resources to its members and community to learn and practice Muslim’s way of life.
• To facilitate social and cultural development of its members by developing program and activities.
• To develop portfolio of charitable programs.

In following the Sunnah & adhering to the Islamic law, ISNB has adopted the Islamic Democracy advent, as the governance criteria to adequately manage all its affairs of the organization.
